The IG-Mart.Com Auction Scheme. Linda Carter formerly owned and maintained WWW.IG-MART.COM although we cannot determine whether the funds from this site went to InterGOV or not. Linda Carter is no longer with InterGOV and has since joined another help organization. We wish Linda Carter good luck with her new venture. IG-MART.Com was formerly the home of an auction which was hilarious and 25% of all proceeds supposedly went to InterGOV. You could also find some amazing bargains in their store where you could buy a $19.99 Microsoft Internet Keyboard for only $74.89 or maybe a $29.99 Microsoft Intellimouse for only $69.50 or even a $19.99 Microsoft Intellimouse Pro for only $42.79 reduced from $53.49. Anyone think that thisy should have been reported to ScamWatch? which Peter Hampton owns and maintains. It never ceases to amaze us what lengths these individuals will go to in order to squeeze a few bucks out of some gullible sucker. IG-MART.Com was recently removed by the registrant, Linda Carter and the domain was apparently deleted. It will no longer appear in a Whois lookup and is unreachable but has not yet been released into the available domain pool. It is another of InterGOV's failed money making schemes which fell by the wayside. Peter Hampton's InterDAC.Com web site often slammed Ebay on its forum and cited that Ebay was a scam but saw fit to open their own auction site which charged a scandalous 25% commission and was open to all of the same scams and exploits from both dishonest buyers and dishonest sellers which Ebay was. I'm beginning to wonder if there is any marketing scheme which InterGOV has not tried with the latest one being bulk e-mailing for donations and selling licenses to pornographic web sites. It was only a matter of time before they engaged in the pornography business. In the future surfers can maybe expect to see offers of Diplomas and Ordainment in return for donations. It is my opinion that they are willing to go to any depths in an effort to make money, fortunately they are not very good at promotion and most often fall flat on their faces in the marketing department as most of their offers and solicitations are ill conceived. Only several items were ever offered for sale on IG-MART.Com which I don't believe any of them ever sold anyway so I would be extremely surprised if the site ever made a dime. The less members of the public that are fleeced the better and the less money that vanishes into the cash blackhole which is more commonly referred to as InterGOV. There are many far better causes to give money to than InterGOV and you can take your pick. |
